Each year a group of the best players around the world gather in St. Louis to battle in rapid and blitz games for large cash prizes and bragging rights. This year we see 8 competitors face off in a head to head challenge for 30 chess matches spanning 4 days. Each of the 8 competitors will only play one single opponent over the 30 games. The winner of each heads up battle will earn 60K while the loser earns 40K.

On day 3 we will see 8 games with 10 minute time control and on day 4 we will see 12 games at 5 minute time control. It’s a lot of rapid and blitz chess with the best players in the world.
