The Grand Prix is a series of four tournaments throughout the year with the top two players getting an invite into the Candidates Tournament. The winner of the Candidates will play Carlsen for the World Championship in 2020.
The second tournament in the 2019 Grand Prix is being held in Riga, Latvia. 16 of the top players in the world gather to battle for points in this prestigious series. We will cover the tournament every day so check back for more analysis from the most exciting games.
